The Education & Training Evaluation Commission (ETEC) was established in 2017 pursuant to the Council of Ministers’ decree No. 94 as a legal entity with financial and administrative autonomy, reporting directly to the Prime Minister. ETEC’s new statute was issued in 2019 pursuant to the Council of Ministers’ decree No. 108 in a manner that upholds its mission as a specialized entity in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in evaluating, assessing, and accrediting qualifications in the fields of education and training in the public and private sectors to enhance their quality and efficiency and to increase their contribution to serving the economy and national development in line with Saudi Vision 2030.
Affiliated Centers :
National Center for Assessment: responsible for developing educational and professional scales and specialized studies and consultations in the area of educational assessment.
National Center for Evaluation and School Excellence: focuses on standard-setting, evaluation, and accreditation of public (K-12) education.
National Center for Academic Accreditation and Evaluation: focuses on standard-setting, evaluation, and accreditation of institutions and programs in higher education.
National Center for Training Evaluation and Accreditation: focuses on evaluating and accrediting training entities and programs.
